Structures, Metal Constructions, and Electrical Equipment for Fuel Stations

Electroutiutilaj SA is part of a group of prestigious industrial companies. This has led to a greater openness to the current requirements of the Romanian market by providing complete solutions, raising the professional level, continuous improvement and standardization of the way of working, aiming to increase efficiency and profitability – providing the basis for future development for the company, for each employee and for our business partners.

Electroutilaj SA has been active for over 30 years in the field of metal construction, specializing in the manufacture of component parts of metal structures, underground and aboveground fuel tanks. The portfolio of projects realized by the company includes production halls, gas stations, commercial spaces, metal awnings or metal roofs.

Types of Structures

We design and manufacture structural frameworks for fuel stations, industrial halls, metal platforms, staircases, walkways, and more, tailored to specific project requirements.

Fuel Tanks

We manufacture underground fuel tanks in various capacities: 20, 40, and 60 cubic meters, available in two-compartment or three-compartment configurations.

We manufacture metal shelving, personal lockers, fire stairs, totem structure.

Electrical Panels and Capacitor Banks

Electroutilaj SA manufactures electrical equipment (electrical switchboards) for fuel stations, as well as capacitor banks. Capacitor banks are electrical equipment that are installed in low or medium voltage electrical installations and have the role of improving the power factor of the electrical energy absorbed by the electrical consumers in the installation.

The power factor of an electricity consumer is a ratio between the active electrical energy and the apparent electrical power (implicitly reactive electrical energy) absorbed by it. The power factor can take values between 0 and 1. A power factor close to 1 means that the reactive energy (absolutely necessary) is small compared to the active energy.

Electricity suppliers require a beneficiary to have a power factor of 0.96 as the optimum realized power factor in its installations. The installation of reactive energy capacitor banks at the consumers’ premises allows to reduce the electricity bills by keeping the reactive power consumption below a value, agreed in the contract with the energy supplier.

Economic Benefits of Power Factor Improvement:

  • Reduces electricity costs
  • Optimizes electrical installation components
  • Decreases cable dimensions
  • Reduces cable losses
  • Minimizes voltage drops
  • Increases the available power of the MV/LV transformer, allowing for the addition of new consumers

Types of Capacitor Banks

  • Based on nominal voltage, capacitor banks can be classified as low-voltage or medium-voltage.
  • Based on construction, capacitor banks can be designed for indoor or outdoor use.
